December 5, 2025 — What a spectacular day it was! The International School Agra (TISA) witnessed an unforgettable Annual Sports Day 2025, and we’re thrilled to share every moment with you.
A Grand Beginning
The day began with the crisp winter air filled with anticipation as our campus came alive with energy. Our esteemed guests and dignitaries were welcomed with open arms and warm hearts, making the cold weather feel like the perfect backdrop for this incredible celebration.
The morning commenced with the Flag Hoisting ceremony, followed by the soul-stirring National Anthem, setting a patriotic tone for the day. Our respected Principal, Mr. Abhay Mathur, Vice Principal, GM, Mr. Surendra Khanuja, and Director, Mrs Naina Kalra Mahajan, graced the occasion, welcoming everyone to what would become a day etched in TISA’s proud history.

We were privileged to host:
- Chief Guest: Shri Maninder Singh ji
- Guests of Honour: Shri Mahesh Nautiyal ji (District Judge, LAARA Court) and Shri Rahul Paliwal ji (Secretary, District Olympic Association)

Most importantly, we were overwhelmed by the wonderful turnout of parents who took time from their busy schedules to witness their children shine!
The Theme: UDAAN – Spreading Wings to Soar
This year’s theme, UDAAN (flight), perfectly captured the essence of what sports mean to us. As our MD beautifully articulated, “When a child runs, jumps, falls, gets up, and runs again… that is Udaan.” It’s about rising, growing, and believing in oneself more than one’s fears.
Celebrating TISA’s Sporting Excellence
Before the action-packed day unfolded, we proudly showcased TISA’s remarkable achievements in the world of sports:
- TISA hosted the CBSE North Zone Cluster XIX Girls Badminton Championship — a matter of immense pride for our school
- CBSE School National Under-19 Bronze Medalist in Badminton
- TISA is counted among the top 3 CBSE schools in India for Badminton
- Our stars Palak Yadav and Sanghmitra Gautam — State Champions Under-15 & 17, who represented the UP Team at Nationals 2025 in Chennai
- National Award Winners in the International Hindi Olympiad 2025, organized by Hindi Vikas Sansthan, New Delhi

Cultural Performances That Touched Hearts
The day wasn’t just about athletics — it was a complete celebration of talent! Our students enthralled the audience with:
- Energetic parade showcasing house unity and school spirit
- Powerful oath-taking ceremony where students pledged to uphold the values of sportsmanship
- Mesmerizing dance performances that had everyone on their feet
- Melodious singing that added rhythm to the day
The highlight? A breathtaking Indian Traditional Dance depicting Hindu mythology’s Goddess Durga. Our talented students powerfully portrayed how the goddess vanquishes evil to protect us all — a beautiful representation of women’s power and strength. This performance left everyone spellbound and reminded us that sports and culture go hand in hand in building strong, well-rounded individuals.
Morning Wellness: Yoga & Taekwondo
The athletic events kicked off with a serene Yoga session that demonstrated discipline, focus, and the importance of the mind-body connection. Parents watched with pride as children carefully carried their mats, performed with precision, and responsibly packed up afterward — showcasing leadership, teamwork, and responsibility in action.
This was followed by an impressive Taekwondo demonstration that highlighted the martial arts skills our students have been developing through our comprehensive sports programs.
The Athletic Showdown: Races, Relays & Field Events
And then came the moment everyone was waiting for — the races! Our state-of-the-art athletic facilities provided the perfect arena for students to showcase their speed, stamina, and competitive spirit.
Track Events:
- 100M Male Race — Lightning-fast sprints that had the crowd cheering
- 100M Female Race — Our girls proved they’re equally fierce competitors
- 4×100m Relay (Male) — Teamwork and speed combined beautifully
- 4×100m Relay (Female) — Baton passes that would make Olympians proud
- 200M Female Race — Endurance and determination on full display
- 400M Male Race — The ultimate test of speed and stamina
- 400M Female Race — Our girls ran with the heart of champions
Field Events:
- Javelin Throw (Heats + Finals) — Strength and technique at its finest
- Shot Put (Heats) — Showcasing power and precision
Team Spirit Events:
- Tug of War (Male) — Raw strength and teamwork
- Tug of War (Female) — Girls proving they’re equally powerful
- Branch Game — Testing agility and strategy
All games were conducted separately for boys and girls, ensuring every student had the opportunity to participate and enjoy. The spirit of healthy competition was palpable!
Honoring Champions: Award Ceremony
The award session was a moment of pure pride and joy. Winners were felicitated for their outstanding performances, and every medal placed around a student’s neck represented hours of practice, dedication, and the spirit of UDAAN. The applause was thunderous, the smiles were radiant, and the pride in parents’ eyes was immeasurable.

- STEAM Programme with AI tools
- Bigger RO plant for clean drinking water
- New Junior/Kindergarten Library
- 140 CCTV cameras (64 new additions) for enhanced security
- New stage for full-school assemblies
- Renovated and air-conditioned Sardar Gyan Singh Kalra Auditorium
