Giving A Voice To The Students
Student Council members are essentially leaders elected by the students of the school. There are many contributing factors, but it is integral for the students to be able to voice their opinions. Student Councils become the vanguard for the students to share their opinions and voice them towards the administration openly.
From deciding the curriculum to raising voices for timetables, the student council works as the vanguard for the students. It ensures that the school administration does not neglect each student’s opinion and voice. Thus, students and other members of the school come to a middle ground and find common solutions for any problems or issues. It leads to a more progressive and ever-evolving School foundation.
Student Health & Well-Being
A school should prioritize student well-being. Balancing it with proper education, curriculum, and other endeavors can be rigorous. That’s where the Student Council comes in as a mediator to find solutions for student well-being.
The Student Council is responsible for the selection and choices in the School Canteen Menu, as well as for Nurse or medical provisions, among other things. They aren’t left alone, as the School Administrator also supports them and acknowledges their concerns to ensure Students have a mentally and physically healthy environment at School.
Student Help & Consultation
It is easy for a student to feel alone or left out. There can be misunderstandings and miscommunications between the students and teachers. Often, a student might face bullying, harassment, and other adversaries that they might have to overcome. Even school staff are sometimes oblivious to such occurrences.
That’s where the Student Council assists by providing proper guidance, consultation, and help to the students. If they are facing any issues, Student Councils heed their requests or confessions to act accordingly. At TISA, the Student Council has the power to act for the well-being of the students.
Mentorship For Students
All students are different, with unique personalities, strengths, and weaknesses. Some students often require guidance in certain topics or subjects. Similarly, a few might be looking for extra tuition or consultations. That’s where the Student Council bridges the gap by ensuring a functional tutor or mentorship program for the students.
The top performers from the Student Council provide their insights, wisdom, and experience to the students for their growth. Often, teachers are asked to participate in the holistic growth of the students.
Ensuring Teacher Appreciation
Teachers are often underappreciated. They go through a lot, from teaching multiple classes to carrying out corrections, preparing examinations, and more. The Student Council acknowledges the teacher’s contribution to the school’s educational foundation. Therefore, teacher appreciation programs and other events are also held to balance the student-teacher relationships.
For example, the Student Council and a few other school participants often organize a Teacher’s Day celebration to appreciate the teachers. Similarly, other acknowledgements or positive reinforcements are also undertaken.

The Student Council actively participates and even welcomes student volunteers, leading to more seamless preparations.
With proper event organization and endeavors, Students, Teachers, and other faculty members come together for such occasions. It helps the overall experience for everyone and a flawless event execution without any issues.
Resource Accumulation And Provisions
Schools often include libraries for the students to get extra help. However, not many encourage students to actively sit in the library to study or seek assistance. That’s not the case at TISA. We provide resources for the library and ask the Student Council to ensure we have all forms of resources a student might require from the school.
Sometimes, there are projects a student can’t complete alone. The Student Council actively collects resources, materials, and participants to assist the student. It engages, motivates, and inspires students to take bold steps towards such ideas and creativity without any fear of financial, mental, or provisional limitations.
Academic Competitions For Engagement And Growth
School isn’t just a place for extracurricular activities, projects, and events. It is also a house of education. As such, educational and academic competitions are essential for students. Debates, Essays, Presentations, Quizzes, and many other competitive events are organized and held at the School.
However, the Student Council plays an integral role in ensuring we have proper participants through auditions, and right questions, and academic brilliance. They provide resources to the students and ensure their participation. Students also feel at ease through the guidance and organization of the student council.
Social And Environmental Responsibility
The world is moving towards more positive and eco-friendly practices. Sustainability is the core of the modern world. From corporate to industrial sectors, everyone is ensuring environmentally friendly measures. Similarly, the Student Council works at the ground level with the students to maintain cleanliness and hygiene at school. They discourage littering and vandalism. Reuse, Recycle, and Reduce become the core of the teachings of the student council.
Similarly, Social Responsibility is another part of the progressive world. The Student Council is often the front for any social cause, whether donation, volunteering, or other endeavors. They also encourage other students to embrace social responsibility as part of being human.
