Student Responsibilities & Rights
TISA's Student Rights
Every student at TISA has certain rights. These are things that students should expect and receive while they are at school. Rights help students feel safe, supported, and respected. They allow students to focus on learning, developing friendships, and enjoying school activities. Here are the main rights every student at TISA has:
Learn and play in a safe and clean environment:
Every student should be able to come to school without fear of being hurt or made to feel uncomfortable. Clean classrooms, playgrounds, and toilets help make school a healthy place for everyone.
Learn and play in a supportive environment:
Teachers and school staff should encourage and help students. Friends and classmates should be kind and friendly. Everyone should help each other to do their best.
Be respected:
Every student has the right to be treated with kindness and respect. This means no bullying, teasing, or discrimination. Every student’s culture, background, and identity must be respected.
Access adequate and appropriate school facilities:
Students should be able to use clean and working classrooms, furniture, toilets, playgrounds, libraries, and technology. These help support learning and fun.
Share their thoughts and opinions:
Students should feel free to speak their mind in a respectful way. They should be able to give feedback, ask questions, and talk about their ideas.
Express themselves in an appropriate way:
Whether through art, speech, writing, or action, students should be able to show their feelings and creativity, as long as they do it respectfully and do not hurt others.
Receive learning that fits their individual needs:
Everyone learns differently. Some students need more time, some need different materials, and some need extra help. Every student should get learning support that matches their style and pace.
TISA's Student Responsibilities
While students have rights, they also have responsibilities. Responsibilities are the actions students are expected to take. They help keep the school running smoothly and ensure everyone has a good experience. When students understand and follow their responsibilities, they help build a respectful and caring school environment.
Receive learning that fits their individual needs:
Everyone learns differently. Some students need more time, some need different materials, and some need extra help. Every student should get learning support that matches their style and pace.
Take part in school activities and try their best:
Whether it is in the classroom, on the playground, or during events, students should join in and do their best. Participation helps build confidence, skills, and teamwork.
Respect others and their rights:
Students should treat everyone kindly and fairly. They should not disturb others while they are learning, and they should not take away others’ chances to speak or learn.
Speak in a kind and respectful way:
Using good language and tone is important. Students should not shout, use bad words, or be rude. Even when they are upset, they should try to express themselves calmly.
Understand and respect that everyone learns in different ways:
Not everyone is the same. Some people are good at reading, others at drawing or solving problems. Students should be patient and supportive of each other’s learning journeys.
TISA is more than just a school — it’s a community. For our school community to succeed, every student must know their rights and follow their responsibilities. Rights help us feel safe, included, and confident. Responsibilities help us learn how to behave, work together, and care for each other. When students follow both, we create a school that is full of respect, joy, and learning.
Let us all work together — students, teachers, parents, and staff — to make TISA a wonderful place to learn and grow. Every small step we take to follow our rights and responsibilities brings us closer to being better students and better citizen
