What Your Kids Can Learn From Kalki 2898 Movie

Spoilers Alert: The article will have a few spoilers to help children learn the best possible lessons from the movie.

Kalki 2898 is a fantastic Indian movie that has surpassed box office expectations. The movie’s VFX, Acting, and star cast ensemble has been highly praised. However, the story of the movie and the characters immerse you in a compelling plot.

It isn’t just about ancient Indian History, but beyond that. Each character teaches us something valuable. Let’s have a look at what your kids can learn from the brilliant movie:

The Realistic Lessons

Given below is the list of lessons that are essential for a person. However, it is also important to work with your Indian education system. Here are some of the realistic lessons before we move to the story-based lessons:

Financial Planning

Bhairava’s dream was to go to the Complex. He couldn’t achieve it due to his poor financial planning skills. Despite working as a bounty hunter, he was carefree with money, which led to his not achieving his dreams anytime soon in the movie. Therefore, we should be aware of our financials and manage them properly.

If you’re not well-versed, you could get help from the experts. But be wise and diligent in financial planning for the future.

Assume Responsibility

Bhairava wasn’t considerate of Roxie, who could’ve lost her job during their venture into the complex. Her love made her blind, and she wasn’t responsible enough. Similarly, Bhairava didn’t care for the consequences. We shouldn’t be like that.

We should always assume responsibility and work accordingly. If we are not considerate of others, we will never be good human beings.

With that being said, let’s move to the more extraordinary lessons and moral value lessons that we can learn from the movie:

The Power of Hope

In the movie, we meet the character Rumi. Although he is there only for the story’s beginning, we learn an important lesson. Rumi grasped onto the power of hope. He firmly believed that a day would come when God would take an avatar in the world. We learn in the movie that his hope was not misled. He was right to have his beliefs, as we see a character soon becoming the mother of the final avatar of the gods.

Rumi lived his life telling stories and sharing information about ancient Indian History. People of Shambala also believed in him and his stories. The power of hope is vital for humans to survive.

Light Finds Its Way

Kalki’s world is dark and post-apocalyptic, and people are not allowed to worship gods. Anyone found worshipping gods is punished. Moreover, the world is a dark place where only the people in the Complex are living great lives. Everyone else is surviving or trying to improve their lives.

The females have a low fertility rate, and we meet Sumitra, a character who was supposed to be barren. Yet light found its way as a newborn in her womb. She was blessed by the gods, which shows that light finds its way despite how dark things can get.

Fun Detail: Most pregnant females couldn’t survive more than 100 days, but Sumitra survived over 150 days without being noticed. That’s the power of light.

War Isn’t The Answer

The main antagonist of the movie is referred to as the ‘Supreme One.’ His name is later revealed to be Yaskin. We learn of the facts from a brief exchange between him and another character. He gained power and influence in a world infiltrated with war and used that war to make a profit and thrive.

While he ended all wars, he acquired extreme military power and profits that led him to become the supreme one. We also see how the far has turned the world to dust. Therefore, war doesn’t lead to prosperity but demolition.

Be Proud of Your Culture

Despite the ban on worshipping gods, we see hints of people acknowledging them. Even the main lead, Bhairava, felt empowered during the scene of God’s revelation. When you go to the theatre and see everyone praising such scenes, you will be proud of your culture.

Mahabharat is part of our literature and mythology. Many deem it to be ancient Indian history. Therefore, it is fun to explore the idea. However, the movie didn’t invalidate any other religion or sentiments. Instead, it connected it beautifully as a form of hope. That’s the kind of approach we should have in life.

We shouldn’t discourage anyone from being faithful towards their God or religion. We should be proud of our culture and embrace other people as well.

Don’t Compromise Your Dreams

The main lead of the movie appears to be a selfish and carefree character for the majority of the runtime. However, you can’t ignore the fact that he was quite dedicated towards his goals and dreams. He wanted to join the complex, and while he wasn’t financially well-off, he did everything he could to achieve that dream.

Bhairava always found a way to get into the complex one way or another. That was due to his firm belief in his dreams. Therefore, we shouldn’t underestimate the power of manifestation through our desires.

Everyone Needs Friends

Bhairava appeared to be a lone ranger in the movie. But if you look closely, you will notice Buji. She was a companion to him and a great friend. Buji’s role is a golden example that we all need friends. Similarly, Sumitha also makes friends. Her friend who lived alongside her became a spy who helped her escape.

Kyra and her company also became Sumitha’s friends and helped her reach Shambala. We all need good friends in our lives. Therefore, we should be able to understand people and the kind of friends we have.

Your Purpose Will Find You

Few people possess the virtue of patience. Ashwathamma was a fantastic example of patience. According to the story, he might have waited thousands of years to finally be awakened. He was awakened at the right time to protect Sumitha. Despite being cursed to be immortal, Ashwathamma found a purpose in his life. It was to protect Sumitha and ensure the delivery of the baby. This purpose was heartfelt.

If you ever feel like you are not important or have no purpose, have patience. Sooner or later, you will realize your purpose. Thus, you can work accordingly towards that purpose.

God Has Plans For Everyone

By the end of the movie, Bhairava is revealed to be Karna. That massive revelation showed us that God has plans for everyone. The intricate story was woven beautifully by the threads of destiny. Throughout the movie, we were introduced to many characters. Each character played a role but was brought together for a purpose.

You could call it that God has a plan for everyone, or you could call it destiny. Either way, it shows that even you have a role in this universe. Therefore, we should always look forward to positive things in life.

Key Takeaway – Be Mindful

The Kalki movie teaches us many reasons. It also has many other hidden values and moral stories. We even learn about our commitment to duties and many other aspects. However, the same can apply to any movie in the world. If you pay attention, you can learn lessons from any movie.

Always be mindful; you will learn positive lessons by looking at the positive things.
